quiapicture2.jpg Welcome to my efolio. My name is Robert Wnukowski and I am a senior at the College of William and Mary preparing to graduate in May 2009. I am a history major and currently enrolled in the School of Education obtaining my license to teach social studies at a secondary level. I am currently completing my student teaching at Phoebus High School in Hampton, VA where I have been fortunate to work with an experienced Cooperating Teacher and a wonderful group of students. At Phoebus I teach World History II to a diverse group of learners from low socio-economic backgrounds. I primarily teach tenth and ninth-graders with a few eleventh and twelfth-graders joining the mix as well. I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of different levels including average, honors, and gifted students, all of which include a number of students with disabilities. Over seventy percent of my students are African American, with the remainder being Caucasian, but they have each taught me the individual and unique diversity that each student brings into the classroom.
The purpose of my efolio is to display my qualifications as an educator. Use the links in the Navigation Menu to the left to explore my space. You will find examples of my lesson plans, unit plans, and artifacts that demonstrate my pedagogical content knowledge. Explore links to competencies in order to find out how The College of William and Mary is preparing the next generation of teachers. Finally, I have included my resume and my personal teaching philosophy as well.
